Definitions

    In these conditions, the following definitions shall apply:

  1. Conditions: As defined in clause 2;
  2. Booking: The reservation made by a Participant to join the Cycling Camp;
  3. Fee: The amount paid or payable for participating in the Cycling Camp;
  4. Cycling Camp: The event organized by us that you register for;
  5. Cycling Camp Dates: The announced dates of the event;
  6. Rules: Health, safety, and access regulations provided, posted at the Villa, or on our website www.sacalobra.cc;
  7. Villa: The accommodation provided during the event;
  8. Equipment: Items supplied for the event (e.g., cycling kits, helmets, etc.);
  9. We / Us / Our / Organizer / Staff: SCCC EVENTS, a French Company (SIREN: 882111826), located at 29 Rue de Favreuse, 91430 Vauhallan, France;
  10. You / Your / Yourself / Participant / Rider: The person listed on the Booking participating in the Cycling Camp.

Registration

  1. By registering for the Cycling Camp, you confirm your understanding and acceptance of these Conditions, as well as any additional terms provided by us regarding the Cycling Camp, the Rules, and any instructions given by our staff at the event (collectively, the "Conditions").

Items not covered by your booking

  1. The following items are not included in your Booking unless explicitly stated in these Conditions:
  2. Travel insurance, including coverage for your belongings, sports equipment, participatory activities, or personal liability;
  3. Flights, baggage, or meals as detailed in your individual travel itinerary;
  4. Costs associated with visas, passports, or other travel authorizations.

Payment and Registration Details

  1. The Participant is not entitled to attend the Cycling Camp until SCCC EVENTS has received full payment. A payment is only considered received when cleared funds are confirmed.
  2. To complete your Booking, a €150 deposit is required unless within two months of arrival, in which case the full amount is due. Deposits and charges are non-refundable, except as stated in clause 8 or by law.
  3. After Booking, an invoice with the balance will be sent, due at least two months before arrival. Failure to pay may result in cancellation.
  4. Your provided email and personal details must be accurate and up to date.

Cancellation by Us

  1. We reserve the right to cancel the Cycling Camp if circumstances beyond our control affect participant safety or our ability to hold the event, including war, unrest, terrorism, or severe weather.
  2. We will notify you via email where possible, or use other methods like phone or text if necessary.
  3. If the Cycling Camp is canceled, you may be entitled to a refund or a replacement camp of similar value. However, we will not be liable for any travel or related expenses under any circumstances.

Changes to the Cycling Camp by us

  1. We may need to make changes to the Cycling Camp, including the location of the Villa. We will notify you of any changes either at the camp or sooner if possible.
  2. If the Villa’s location changes, you agree to accept the new location, and your booking remains non-cancellable and non-refundable.
  3. If we need to change the dates of the Cycling Camp, we will inform you in writing. You will have a guaranteed spot on the new dates. If you agree to the new dates, you are responsible for any additional costs related to the camp, including travel and accommodation. If you cannot attend on the new dates or choose not to accept them, you can get a refund of the Cycling Camp Fee. We are not responsible for any additional travel or associated expenses, or other losses resulting from the date change, except as stated in this clause 8.

Your participation at the Cycling Camp

  1. You must be at least 18 years old on the Cycling Camp Date to participate.
  2. We and/or staff at the Cycling Camp may prohibit or ask anyone to cease participation in the Cycling Camp and/or immediately remove anyone, if :
  3. You breach any rules, directions, or laws, or if your behavior risks safety, harms the environment, or is otherwise inappropriate; or
  4. You fail to arrive at the specified time or location. Note: We are not responsible for any issues arising from flight delays or cancellations; or
  5. You are unfit to participate due to excessive alcohol consumption. You are responsible for your alcohol intake; or
  6. You use performance-enhancing drugs or engage in doping, which is against our anti-doping rules aligned with the World Anti-Doping Code.; or
  7. You are unfit to participate due to injury or illness; or
  8. You display excessive, noisy, or inappropriate behavior towards other participants, staff or local people.

  9. If you are asked to cease participation, you must return any items provided, such as helmets, bike computers, heart rate monitors, bike hire equipment, and powermeters.

Cancellation by You

  1. If you want to cancel your Booking, you must contact us as soon as possible. To cover the cost of processing your cancellation, and to compensate us for the risk that we may not be able to resell your arrangements, we’ll make a cancellation charge on the scale shown below. You are responsible for paying this charge, as follows:
  2. More than 2 months before arrival: you will be charged the deposit only (150 euros).
  3. Less than 2 months before arrival: ou will be charged the full amount (100%).

  4. Your participation cannot be postponed or rescheduled to other dates. If you cannot attend the Cycling Camp for any reason, you will not receive a refund for the Cycling Camp Fee, any booking fee, or any other costs incurred (e.g., travel).

Your Personal Information

  1. We may use the personal information you provide, including emergency contact details and medical information, to give you medical assistance in case of an emergency during the Cycling Camp.
  2. You can request not to have your personal data used for marketing purposes. You may opt-out of receiving future emails and newsletters by clicking the unsubscribe link in the emails we send, or emailing us at hello@sacalobra.cc to request removal or correction of your information from our website.

Photos and Videos

  1. The Cycling Camp may be recorded, including videos, photographs, and other recordings. You agree to the use of your image, including any edits or modifications, in publications, broadcasts, films, TV, and other media.
  2. We and those authorized by us have the right to use and profit from these recordings without prior notice or compensation to you.

Your Safety at the Cycling Camp

  1. You acknowledge that the Cycling Camp may involve strenuous physical exercise or other factors which could involve personal risk and you fully understand and accept that:
  2. The Cycling Camp may involve strenuous physical exercise and other risks, including serious injury or death;
  3. The Camp will be held on public roads with expected hazards;
  4. Activities may involve long periods of exertion, including in inclement or very hot weather.

  5. You should only participate if you are medically able and properly trained.
  6. Ensure you are in good health and physical condition on the Cycling Camp Date. If unsure, seek medical advice and consider not attending.
  7. You acknowledge and agree that:
  8. You will adhere to all Rules and staff instructions at all times;
  9. You will comply with all local laws during the camp;
  10. You will assist fellow participants in need of medical attention and alert staff;
  11. You will always wear a cycling helmet while riding;
  12. You will prepare for varied or adverse weather conditions;
  13. You will not litter in any area related to the camp or on the road;
  14. You will not use performance-enhancing drugs or engage in doping.

  15. You consent to medical care and transportation if injured and waive liability related to medical treatment. You are responsible for all medical expenses and must arrange your own insurance coverage for the camp.
  16. You acknowledge and understand that it is your personal responsibility to provide accurate contact and medical information upon registration. We are not liable for issues resulting from incorrect or incomplete information.

Your Personal Belongings

  1. We are not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to your property during the Cycling Camp.
  2. You are fully responsible for the safety and security of your own belongings.

Bike Hire

  1. By using one of our bikes, you confirm that:
  2. You have the necessary experience and have checked that the bike is in good working condition;
  3. You will inform the Organizer or staff immediately if you notice any malfunctions with the bike;
  4. You agree not to use the bike improperly and accept that you may be charged for any damage incurred during the Cycling Camp;
  5. If the bike is stolen, you will be responsible for reimbursing the Organizer for the bike’s original purchase price and any accessories provided.

Equipment supplied

  1. On the first day of the Cycling Camp, you will receive all necessary equipment. You must return the equipment by 10:00 PM on the day before departure.
  2. Ordinary wear or dust (that can be easily cleaned) will not be considered damage. Any significant damage or issues affecting the functionality of the equipment will be assessed.
  3. You must notify the Organizer or staff immediately if you notice any damage.
  4. You authorize the Organizer to charge you for any costs related to damage to the equipment.
  5. In the event of theft, you are responsible for reimbursing the Organizer for the original purchase price of the missing item(s).

Applicable Law

  1. These Terms are governed by the laws of France, excluding conflict of law rules.
  2. You and SCCC EVENTS agree to resolve any claims related to these Terms through final and binding arbitration, which is a quicker and more informal process than going to court.
  3. If arbitration is not applicable, any disputes will be resolved in a court located in France. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of French courts for any legal matters related to these Terms.

Other Important Terms

  1. If a court or authority finds any clause of this contract unlawful, the remaining clauses will still be valid and enforceable.
  2. This contract is solely between you and us. No other person has any rights to enforce any of its terms.
